Pamper yourself with a washcloth crocheted from soft yarn in soothing spa colors – luxurious!

Skill Level: Easy

Abbreviations:

    ch-chain; dc-double crochet; rep-repeat; rnd-round; RS-Right Side; sc-single crochet; sl st-slip stitch; st(s)-stitch(es)

Size:

    One size: approximately 7 x 7" [18 x 18 cm]

Materials Needed:

  • #4 worsted weight cotton yarn: we used Bernat Peaches & Creme (100% cotton), 2.5 oz (70.9 g), 120 yd (109 m) –#1612 Sunshine, #1742 Bright Blue and #1712 Bright Lime (Note: one ball will make multiple washcloths)
  • Boye® crochet hook size H-8 (5 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge:

    13 sts and & 11 rows = 4" (10 cm). Take time to check gauge.

Directions:

    Washcloth
    Foundation chain: With main color of your choice, ch 19.
    Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch, *sc in next ch, dc in next ch; rep from * across, turn – 18 sts.
    Row 2: Ch 1, *sc in next dc, dc in next sc; rep from * across, turn.
    Rep Row 2 until washcloth is square. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

    Edging
    Rnd 1: With RS facing, and contast color of your choice, join with sl st in any corner, sc evenly around, placing 3 sc in each corner st, join with sl st to first sc.
    Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, placing 3 sc in each corner st, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
