Boye Double-Point Knitting Needles, size 8 (5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Boye Crochet Hook, size H/8 (5 mm)

#22 tapestry needle, stitch holder, stitch markers
Sewing needle and thread
(2) size 1" coordinating buttons
GAUGE
18 sts and 24 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette st. *Take time to check gauge.*
TWISTED RIB PATTERN
Rnds 1-2 With B, *k2, p2; rep from * around.
Rnd 3 With A, *RT, p2; rep from * around.
Rnd 4 K2, p2; rep from * around.
Rep Rnds 1-4 for Twisted Rib.
DIRECTIONS (Make 2)
With A, CO 24 sts.
Rnds 1-5 *K2, p2; rep from * around.
Rnd 6 *RT, p2; rep from * around.
Beg Twisted Rib Pattern using colors as indicated and work even until piece measures 6" from beg. Knit 3 rnds. BO.
Weave in ends.
FINISHING
Use needle and thread to sew knitted leggings to suede booties.
BUTTON LOOP
With A and crochet hook, crochet a 4 1/2" chain, leaving a 6" tail. Fasten off.
Fold chain in half to create loop. Thread tail onto yarn needle; wrap tail several times around chain loop so loop opening is only large enough to go around button. Sew loop to one side of bootie front. Rep for 2nd bootie. Sew buttons under loops.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Booties are hand washable with mild detergent. Consider the yarn you used to make your slipper socks before washing. After washing and rinsing, gently squeeze out excess water. Stuff with clean paper or cloth to retain shape. Allow to air dry.
