Step 1. Using pattern piece cut out two flowers and inner circle of each flower.

Step 2. Apply interfacing to wrong side of one flower. Place right sides together matching raw edges, stitch around entire outer edge using 1/4" seam allowance. Clip to stitching at inner corners, clip curves. Turn right side out and press.

Step 3. To gather inner circle, stitch along the 1/4" seam line using a long machine-stitch and heavier thread in the bobbin. Pull thread to gather so that opening measures 3/4" across. Knot thread ends.

Step 4. Gather outer edge of flower center same as for flower and insert a small amount of polyester fiberfill or cotton-balls onto flower center. Whipstitch the raw edges of the flower opening and flower center together.

Step 5. Glue batting to the front side of frame backing.

Step 6. Glue the blue stripe fabric over the batting at the top of the frame backing with the right side facing out.

Step 7. Press under 1/2"on one long edge of the blue dot fabric. Glue the rick rack under the folder edge so that it shows 1/2 way above the crease.

Step 8. Center and glue a 5 1/2 “ piece of twill tape on top of the stripe section to create stem. Make a bow with a 15" length of twill tape and glue it to the center of the stem.

Step 9. Glue the blue dot fabric, with rick rack at top edge, onto the stripe section at the bottom of the frame backing. Glue the flower to the top of the twill tape stem.

Step 10. Glue the blue dot fabric, with rick rack at top edge, onto the stripe section at the bottom of the frame backing. Glue the flower to the top of the twill tape stem.
