Construction and Trimming Instructions
Step 1. Sandwich the interfacing in between the two felt bib sections, having raw edges even. Fuse all layers together, following manufacturer’s directions.
Step 2.Pin one edge of Beaded Square with Gem Trim along outer curved edge of cutout on bib, starting and ending with a square at upper edge. If necessary, clip trim at upper edge between squares so that trim curves and lies flat on bib. Hand-sew OR glue in place.
Step 3. Pin Beaded Square with Gem Trim along upper edge of bib and upper edge of cutout as shown in photo, starting and ending with a square at corners. If necessary, clip trim to follow curves as instructed in step 2. Hand-sew OR glue trim in place.
Step 4. Pin one edge of Metallic Braid along outer edge
of beaded trim, easing trim as needed to follow curve while allowing braid to lie flat on bib. Turn cut ends of braid under 1/2" to inside at upper edges. Hand-sew OR glue braid in place.
Step 5. Apply two more rows of braid to outer edge of bib
in same manner as first row, having edges of each row of braid touching the row before it.
Step 6. Using jewelry pliers, cut chain in half. Hand-sew
OR glue one end of each length of chain to inside of bib at upper corners as shown in photo.
Step 7. Place bib around neck and adjust to desired length, making sure ends of chain are of equal length. Mark ends.
Step 8. Using jewelry pliers, cut off excess chain at markings. Attach lobster clasp to end of one chain and attach jump ring to end of opposite chain.
Step 9. Put on bib and enjoy your new creation!
