Stitching in the ditch is a great way to close waistbands, but you may also use it in plackets or along facings. If you prefer machine sewing over hand sewing, this technique creates a beautiful finish on the inside of the garment.

Tips to Remember
- Stitch 1/4"" away from edge of fabric.
- When topstitching, lengthening the stitch can help it appear more than the standard 2.5 stitch length.
