Purple Reign!
Burgundy has ruled fall long enough... it's time for a new hue! We're rounding up our favourite Purple pattern inspiration for your Fall and Winter projects.
From bold aubergine to jewel-toned amethyst, the color associated with royalty continues to have its moment in 2026.
The fall/winter 2026 runway collections made a strong case for dopamine dressing. Using color in many ways within your wardrobe and styling. Rich shades of purple, from deep eggplant and plum to saturated royal violet... Celine made it a standout color across many categories, from ready-to-wear to accessories. According to Vogue's rundown, Balenciaga, Mugler and many more embraced the shade too - Sheer skirts and blouses at Ferragamo, textured minidresses at Loewe and asymmetrical maxi dresses at Tory Burch.
1. S9114
We've reimagined this iconic Mimi G design in a new hue. Using purple stripes for the two-piece top and pants co-ord and layering an amethyst chiffon shirtdress duster over the top this creates something very different to the original envelope inspiration. The duster would look equally good in organza for a stiffer effect.
2. ME2043
This bodysuit and pants set is another great example of fall dressing. The rich aubergine pant makes the button front details pop and paired with a heathered lilac bodysuit you get a dreamy combo, perfect for cooler days. The pants feature slash pockets and back pockets with flaps.
3. V1943
The glamour of a violet purple suit set is enhanced by the eyecatching design. It sits off the shoulder with pointed neckline and double breasted button closure. Long sleeves highlight the bare shoulders too. The semi-fitted, high-rise pants have flared legs to balance the shape. Don't forget this is a Multi-Cup Size pattern - Separate bodice pattern pieces are included for cup sizes A, B, C, D.
4. B6485
From Butterick, a hidden gem from our back catalog. This 1940s dress has a curved shoulder detail and raised funnle neck, and is fitted with long double pleats down the centre front. But made in a floral purple cotton, it looks thoroughly modern and could be layered with a cardigan or blazer for the office.
5. B6710
This top pattern is so versatile. The variations include the scarf inspired neckline tie shown here, and a classic pussybow, as well as a simple clean neckline finish. Made in pale mauve and paired with a deep plum pant to ground the look.
4. V8814
High glamour in lavender silk. This bias cut dress looks stunning in high shine fabrics with its French darts, drop-waist and flared skirt. It also includes separate pattern pieces for A, B, C and D cup sizes, to help you get the best fit possible.
